How to Delete Undeletable Files in Windows

Are you facing the frustrating issue of undeletable files on your Windows system? Do not worry, as there are several methods you can employ to tackle this problem effectively. Follow these steps to delete those stubborn files:

1. Use Command Prompt

If a file is undeletable using the traditional methods, you can try deleting it using Command Prompt. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and navigate to the location of the file. Use the del command followed by the name of the file to delete it.

2. Unlocker Tool

Another effective way to delete undeletable files is by using third-party tools like Unlocker. Simply download and install Unlocker, right-click on the file or folder you want to delete, and select the ‘Unlocker’ option. This tool will help you unlock and delete the file.

3. Safe Mode

Boot your computer into Safe Mode and then try to delete the undeletable file. Sometimes, files that cannot be deleted in normal mode can be easily removed in Safe Mode. To enter Safe Mode, restart your computer and press F8 before the Windows logo appears.

4. File Assassin

File Assassin is another handy tool that can help you delete stubborn files. It is a part of the Comodo Cleaning Essentials toolkit and allows you to unlock and delete files that are in use or locked by malware.

By following these methods, you can successfully delete undeletable files from your Windows system. Remember to exercise caution when using third-party tools and always ensure that the files you are deleting are no longer needed.
